Dr Chin Koy Nam

Dr Chin holds both Science (B.Sc.Adelaide1965,Ph.D.Bristol 1969) and Medical degrees (Mb.Ch.B.Sheffield 1976).  He has been a lecturer at the University of Singapore, and worked in the Departments of Medicine and Haematology, Singapore General Hospital in the 1970s. He was the founder doctor of Dr K.N.Chin & Associates in the 1980s and Balestier Medical Centre/HMI Balestier Hospital in the 1990s.  Dr Chin now practices as a Family Physician with particular interest in Health Screening, Diabetes and Hypertension at Balestier Clinic & Health Screening Centre. 

Besides medical practice, Dr Chin is Group Executive Director of Health Management International Limited (HMI Ltd) which is a listed Singapore-based Healthcare Service and Education provider with medical and business activities in Singapore, Malaysia, and China.  HMI Ltd owns and manages Mahkota Medical Centre in Malacca, Malaysia while holding majority interest in Regency Specialist Hospital in Johor, Malaysia.  Apart from owning and managing its own healthcare facilities.  HMI Ltd also provides hospital management, consultancy services as well as nursing education in Singapore.
